Fourth of July AC Repair in Southlake
Jerry in Southlake called Texas Air Doctors on the Fourth of July weekend in a panic about his house not cooling. He said he had woken up that morning sweating bullets to realize that his outdoor unit was not turning on. Jerry tried flipping the breakers, changing the batteries on the thermostat, and everything else he could think of, but still no cold AC. He couldn't believe this was happening on the same day as his annual Fourth of July barbeque. He reached out to Sally at the office, who quickly put his fears to rest because she had George on call for the weekend and would send him right over to see what they could do to get the house cooling down again. George arrived in no time and started looking over the whole system. He checked the indoor unit, the outdoor unit, the breaker, and everything in between. At the outdoor unit, George found the capacitor bubbled and bulging. George had a good feeling that was the cause of the problem but wanted to make sure, so he took his testing tool and found the capacitor was dead. George asked Jerry to meet him outside so he could show him the issue and he agreed to have it replaced. Jerry turned the unit on after replacing the part and finished testing the unit to make sure the freon levels were good and everything was working correctly. Everything else was working great and the house started cooling almost immediately. Jerry was so glad he was able to have his party in the comfort of his cool home.
